Evaluation 3
Presenting our complete music video which was in its final stages to our class proved very beneficial. We were able to receive feedback on what they liked about it but also what we could improve.
We asked 4 main questions:
· What did you understand to be the narrative?
· Do you think it fits the soul genre?
· What age category would you say this appeals to?
· Is there anything you would cut out or change about the video?
As a group we were very happy with the feedback we gathered from this session and we created a list of ideas that were suggested to us in regards to improvements that could be made.
It was a common suggestion among not only our class, but other people who we have shown our music video to for feedback, that we should shorten the length of the shot which involved the character working in a store and placing wooden sticks in boxes. As this was brought up a lot to us it helped us to decide that we should shorten this shot as it seemed very repetitive and we did not want it to become boring.
Also, it was suggested in this same feedback session that we should incorporate more bottles in the bottle sequence in our music video to allow it to fit to the beat. This is something we hadn’t thought to do as the beat was very fast so we didn’t think we would be able to present it on good timing. However, after hearing somebody in the class suggest it we decided to try it out and see how it looked. After making this edit, we then asked a few people which one they preferred- the previous shot with less bottles or the new sequence with more bottles, everybody we asked preferred the new one so we therefore chose to keep that one in our final music video.Friday, 13 April 2018

Magazine advert
This is the magazine advert i have created to show the artists album release. I incorporated common conventions found in similar adverts for example the 'available on iTunes' symbol, the 'featuring hit singles' line, the artists website and the album release date.

My digipak
This is my digipak. I decided to have the artist on the front of the disc in order to attract fans through there use of star image. I kept the same font throughout and keeping with a black and white text theme. I decided to use the same style image throughout the whole digipak to keep it simplistic as this is common among the soul genre in regards to CD covers.

What is a Digipak?
Digipak style packaging is a common form of packaging for CD singles or special editions of CD albums. They typically involve a book style outer binding which opens up to reveal the plastic trays that hold the CD/CDs.
"Digipak" has come to be the term used to describe all soft CD packaging and they are now the leading style for current CDs.
