Childish Gambino - Sober

I like this music video as it has a very strong narrative that is shown throughout the whole music video. The lyrics fit with the visuals in order to emphasise the narrative being portrayed.

Shawn Mendes - Treat You Better

This music video is based on a narrative that links with the lyrics. It links to Richard Dyers theory of "star image" as the singer is the main focus throughout. There are a variety of close ups and long shots of the singer and the featuring actor. The singer, Shawn Mendes includes some lipsyncing within the verses but not in the choruses.

DJ Khaled - Wild Thoughts

I've chosen this video because it fits with Andrew Goodwin's theory of star image. The close up camera shots of Rihanna, DJ Khaled and Bryson Tiller creates a strong atmosphere within the video. This brings forward the empowering and uplifting mood that the video is portraying.

Bruno Mars - That's What I Like

I've chosen this video because it fits with Andrew Goodwin's theory due to the relationship between music and visuals such as the editing to the beat. The main focus is around Bruno Mars dancing and it is all in one shot, with later editing adding effects to emphasise the visuals. The changing of the lighting throughout the video helps the audience to stay engaged as there is no other background narratives going on as nothing else is in frame.

Ed Sheeran - Supermarket flowers

Supermarket flowers by Ed Sheeran is full of emotion that can be portrayed through a visual narrative. When listening to the song i can almost imagine the scene unfolding as the lyrics are so deep and meaningful. As there is no official video for this song it would mean we could explore our unique ideas and create our own video.
