Tuesday 16th:
We filmed the busking scenes in Enfield Town. We used a bandstand in the town in order to capture performance shots and make use of the natural lighting that was directly shining on this area. We also filmed the busking scenes outside the train station, involving extra characters giving money to our main character.
We also filmed walking into the job centre as an additional shot but we are unsure if we will use the whole shot, we may just use a section of the clip.
Today consisted of mostly freehand filming, with some use of the curved handheld tripod in order to keep the camera steady when filming at a low angle.

2nd day filming
Tuesday 9th:
Today we filmed the shots in a B&Q store in order to follow the narrative of our character being fired from her job. As B&Q was somewhere we could gain access to and film appropriate working shots. We used freehand filming on the camera as when we tried shots with the tripod it made it seem quite staged an hard to follow the character. However, when i was just holding the camera it seemed a lot more relaxed which is the mood that the character is portraying before she gets fired, leading on to the other shots.

Having to reshoot
Due to a technical issue, we are going to have to reshoot our first filming day. This is because the camera shot in the wrong format and the mac would not let us change it when uploading. We looked for tutorials online but we decided that it was definitely easier to just refilm and we have taken it as something to learn from. Now we know that everytime we record a new scene, we should check that the camera setting is on 'mp4' as the default setting is not able to be uploaded or edited.

Hypodermic needle theory
This theory is the idea that the media shoot "bullets" straight into its audience. It implies that the media has a direct and powerful effect on its audience. People are seen as "passive" as they accept what the media is telling them as full truth and therefore react in the desired way of the media.
