These are some of the options we considered when deciding what song we would use for our music video. However, this does not include our final choice which is Kehlani - Piece of mind
1. Jorja Smith - Teenage fantasy
This is in the R&B/Soul genre. it is quite a recent song as it was released in June 2017. Although we really liked the video for this song we did not feel that it should be the song we create a video for. Also due to the fact that the video is so good, we may find ourselves looking at it for ideas which would mean that our video would not be original. However, we will be able to take ideas from the use of camerawork in this video as inspiration for our music video.
2. Jennifer Lopez ft LL Cool J- All i have
This is in the pop genre. However, it has the features of a old/original R&B song. This is the video style we are most interested in as a group and this will possibly be the style of video we choose to create. The lyrics hold a very strong message throughout however there are two lead roles which we would've had to show in the video should we have chosen this song.
3. Leona lewis - Better in time
This is in the pop genre. The song holds a very strong message and the singer sounds very passionate throughout. The passion and intensity of the singers voice and trail of the video seems to escalate as the video progresses showing the empowerment that she is providing herself. This would have to be matched by the acting we would be using if we were to create a video to this song. However, the lip-syncing could be matched easily due to the slow pace of the song and the smooth flow of the lyrics.
All these songs have a female singer and all actively promote empowering women through the lyrics and videos. All the artists are all well known within the music industry
